Moorea is in the Society Islands of the French Polynesia. It is a few minutes away from Tahiti by plane. A wide, shallow lagoon surrounds the jagged peaks of the island, which has played a backdrop to some older Hollywood films. Charles Darwin was inspired for his theory regarding coral reefs while looking at Moorea from Tahiti. And like most islands, there are many activities to do and places to see, and restaurants to eat at.
